i've been shooting a lot of videos lately.

and i just got back from new york. actually i got back a few days ago. i am in philly. in 2 days i leave for california again. thank allah. it's so fucking cold.

BUT WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH THE WEATHER OUT THERE!
seriously i heard it snowed in santa barbara! what the hell!
s|a told me it was from the "artctic blast." so yeah that's just weird to me.

anyway back to l.a. for me.

I went back to Michigan for the holidays, now I've got some projects set up in Philly and NYC and then I am back off to LA!
And I can't wait. It's too freaking cold!!!!

yeah it really is great out here.
i've been looking for work and scoping the bar scene.
cass mccombs is playing in a couple weeks, so i'm definitely planning on seeing that show.
i think i will be in baltimore fairly soon, and i'm planning on heading out to new york for a minute, but i'm pretty sure i'll be calling philly my homebase.

hope everyone's doing great, i really love everyone here, you guys are so supportive, and i appreciate that more than you know.

HOLA! :) I am officially a Californian. I moved to west L.A. at the end of March, and I have been getting into the groove with my classes. I've been nonstop busy, but I love it out here, I can't complain about anything at all!!! Hope everyone's been doing well and staying out of trouble ;) xo.

things are weird today

so last night i had a photo shoot. it went well. i will post a picture or two here later. i haven't gotten any back yet. it was so much fun though.

and yeah so this morning my roommate, her boyfriend, and i all went to the 50's coney island diner by our house. i ordered oatmeal with raisins and bananas in it, and i drank 3 large waters. then i felt like i was going to have a fucking brain aneurysm. i think i drank the water too fast or something.

so yeah then we were sitting there and i thought some lady was talking to herself in sign language. i got kinda freaked out about it. everyone in the diner was all sketched out. everyone looked like zombies, with vacant eyes and no souls. just shells. it was so weird. you know how things feel like the twilight zone sometimes? not that it's necessarily a bad thing at all, but..... yeah things are a little off today...

but i think i am moving to chicago for a bit. with, you know, my husband ned hepburn. i'm pretty super excited about it, not gonna lie. ;)

today i received a package in the mail from my friend brooks..... 3 nick cave cds, a birthday party cd, a tom waits cd, 3 gg allin cds (one of which was the country album), a hank the 3rd, and a motorqueen tape (brook's music project). since my computer got ruined, i lost about 2 weeks of music.... needless to say, i'm pretty happy right now.

so. i am supposed to have a shoot around noon today, but now it's snowing a whole bunch... so.... i don't know if my shoot is still going to happen. thats michigan for you, though.

...which brings me so much closer to just jumping states. i decided. within the next 3 months i will be living in california, no two ways around it. :)

driving on expressway, ramps criscrossing high above ground, the sky was pinks and purples, whites and blues. clouds- piles of cotton batting, cotton candy. surrounded.

rockets launched, a city in flight. in front of me, in awe.

intermission.

scene repeats.

descending the expressway ramp, descending from clouds, car speeds up. aware, unable to slow down.

running a red light.

phone conversation with mom.

increasing: speed, momentum,

alarm.

car spins out of control, time slows, and

"are you okay?"

eyes tightly shut, spinning, expecting (prepared/it's time?)

.black.

^that was a dream i had last night. i had the first part, then i dreamed about other things that i can't remember, and then i had the entire dream. it was really weird.

one of my good friends is moving to l.a. i'm pretty upset. he's leaving in a week. it's never a good idea to stick around somewhere solely based on the people you know. when it's time, it's time. and it's his time. i just hope he knows how much he's going to be missed.
