There's not much more I can say about my trip to San Francisco other than it was better than I'd anticipated. Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip...

I bought a devilishly cute dress today, so I am feeling a little bit happy.

I am also feeling happy that I will be leaving this dump and flying away to san francisco for a week in exactly 22 days. fuck fuck fuck. yes yes yes. i know a lot of people are coming, and i'm so stoked to meet everyone and hook up with old friends again as well. we are all going to get into so much fucking trouble.

I think I'm going to start writing in a paper journal again. I fooled myself into thinking it wasn't a good idea because my ex used to read mine all the time. But most normal people don't do that... so what the hell. I feel like I bottle a lot of things up and it would feel really good to write it all down. Good for the soul.

I need someone to put the fire back in my blood. I feel dull.

nothing terribly exciting to report on my side of the world. been working lots. reading lots. went on a couple dates.

ended up doing a little bit of a photoshoot with a photographer i've never worked with before. photo's turned out well, but i don't have any photo's with me that i can post yet. will soon.

turns out neil young and death cab for cutie are passing through here shortly before the DN event in san francisco. picked myself up a ticket. can't wait for death cab! although i wish i could see one of their headlining shows. also found out that nine inch nails is hitting my neck of the woods in december. stoked. so many good shows this year. i will also be seeing lenny kravitz in october, wicked!

Had a fantastic weekend visiting Cerah for her birthday in Vancouver. Lar-Bear and I schemed the whole thing, and she squealed with delight. :)

I don't think I got much more than 4 hours of sleep each night (or rather, morning)... so I am super exhausted but it was well worth it. It's just what I needed to get my mind on track again. Good friends, good times, and did I mention silly tattoos? Cerah and I are forever linked now. BEHOLD!

I'm the mac to her cheese. :)

I'm going to go ahead and assume it was her best birthday weekend EVAR.

I have a couple more pics somewhere on my camera that I will upload at a later date.

when i showed up at the eatery for cerah's birthday in vancouver, she pointed at me and said, "what the fuck are you doing here?" not the girly squeal i was expecting, but a satisfactory reaction indeed!! last night was loads of fun. we stayed up until the sun came out. today i'm hoping to head down to the shop she works at and get some matching tattoos. what a birthday. :)

so stoked to be here right now. EEEE!!!

procrastination!

Today is my only day off this week (the other days i will be away from home), and i have so much to do around here, but instead i talked to a handsome boy on the internet for most of the day. Not that I'm complaining. Besides, that's much more fun than doing dishes and laundry.

So yeah, I've been mopey for most of the week... but I have really awesome friends and I feel blessed right now. Hopefully some of their good nature will rub off on me and I will feel wonderful again.

nails was incredible. solo roadtrip was satisfying. hang outs were awesome.

and i feel awful. i want to crawl into a hole for 6 months to sleep and wake up completely over everything. i keep saying positive things because i'm aware of the law of attraction, what i say is what i get. but i'm not okay. i keep telling everyone i am, but i am far from it. i don't want pity, and i don't want to talk about it either. i'm sick of that. then again, i am probably just having an episode and i will feel fine in a few days.

I went to an acquaintances apartment the other day to help with an artsy photoshoot. At least 8 people were involved, and I knew there'd be nudity. I wasn't planning on getting naked, but just there for support and suggestions. It ended up turning into an interesting naked party. Everyone just took their clothes off at the same time and hung out like normal until it was their turn to shoot. After a while I felt slightly odd being the only one clothed. It was fun nontheless. Very interesting, and a lot of fun just shooting the shit with a bunch of naked people I'd just met. It made me think about the elitist social values of what you own, who you know, what you wear... that type of bullshit. You strip all that shit away (in this case, literally), and you just have the person. The conversation. Even though we just met and I look like this naked, would you still be friends with me? Yes, yes I would. Seriously, I might arrange a naked party for this purpose.

I've been thinking more seriously about moving to Vancouver. Now I have a job where I can be transferred. I don't have any commitments to anything or anyone. I want to do it within the year... that is, after I have my debt paid off. So this is my goal.

Found a place to move. It's a really nice area really close to where I am now and closer to my mom, too. It's a townhouse, so I get a yard and a deck. I can't wait to plant flowers! Only problem is we can't move in until July 10th. So I have to move out of my current apartment, into the boy's place, and then into the new place. Blah. Moving is bad enough, but twice?

I didn't realize how much crap I had. I have 8 boxes so far and that's just most of the kitchen and one box for half the bathroom. Yikes. I hope I can find some strong men with trucks to help me move, haha.

Been packing and getting things ready today. I should have started ages ago based on how little damage I've done so far.

Anyways, off to see Matthew Good right away. This will be the 7th time I've seen him, I think. His whiny quips are getting a bit old. Oh well... good tunes.

I just saw The Cure three nights ago. You're all jealous, I know.

Also, I saw Ladytron (holyfuckingchristtheywererad), Datarock, and the Presets. I managed to squeeze the Vancouver aquarium, the Krazy Exhibit of graphic novels, comics, videogames and anime at the Van Art Gallery, a trip to Victoria on Vancouver Island, visits with Cerah and Lar-Bear, a shit load of shopping and two 18-hour drives in there as well in a span of 5 days.

So yeah, I'm fucking tired.

had a 12 hour day at work. not complaining, but boy will my trip to vancouver be a welcome vacation! i leave on thursday. we're driving all the way to the mountains and will arrive friday morning. i still have no idea where i will be staying. i guess that's part of the adventure.

friday night: Ladytron concert, then Honey: Mod Club.
saturday: Presets concert.
monday: THE CURE!!! EEEE!!
tuesday: chest piece touch up. Ouch!
wednesday: leave for home. :(

that's my schedule, you know who you are if i want to see you.

the new job is going okay. i think the store manager has a skewed perception of me, though. i screwed up closing the other night. keep in mind i was by myself and it was my first time doing it. plus she thought i was "spacing out" on friday near the end of my shift. it was the end of a long week. maybe i seemed tired, i don't know. i just don't want her to question whether or not she hired the right person. i CAN do this. i'm not an idiot. i've only been doing it for a week, so i hope i'm cut some slack at least.

although i do have a problem with the way some things are done around there. i don't mean to sound like a hippy, but does EVERY piece of clothing NEED to be wrapped in thick plastic bags? and does EVERY piece of damaged clothing need to be ripped up and thrown out instead of giving it to a shelter? i felt terrible cutting all that fabric up. i wanted to take it home to sew something out of it but apparently we're not allowed to do that. it's kind of hard to smuggle a clear garbage bag full of clothes out of the mall. *sigh* this company needs an environmental adviser pronto.
