I cant believe I have not updated since February. I suck. It's been an interesting month. Ups and downs I guess, but what can you do?

Work has been super busy. I finally get to take my color certification class on Friday, so that will be a plus. I'm working all long shifts this week, which kinda blows, but I hope it means good tips. I need more disney money!! But, I got "promoted" to shift manager, which means now I can bonus (sweet!!). Of course, I have to average over 30 hours a week, and have to keep my production high, but I dont see that becoming an issue.

A new season of Dancing with the Stars started last week. I'm a fan of Kristi Yamaguchi and Mario. My favorite crew, Kaba Modern, got voted off America's Best Dance Crew last week, so I'm hoping the Jabbawockeez take the whole thing. I would love to learn this kind of stuff. Any and all kinds of dance. I still want to swing dance someday.

It's sad, I have really NOTHING to talk about. Just wanted to let you all know I'm still alive and kicking. I need more tattoo work done asap. I really want to get my right arm worked on, so people quit asking me if it's finished or not.

My head is just spinning around and around, but I don't know where to get off. Things that were super important, things that I was passionate about... they are falling to the wayside, and I just find myself curling up under my flannel blanket with my book and my music, not wanting to talk to anyone. The problem is, even if I wanted to talk to anyone, I wouldn't know what to say or even where to start. I do know that shit needs to change. Soon. But I don't know how to change it. I'm just tired of everything.

First game of the season this weekend. Be there or be square. My arm is still killing me, so don't expect anything spectacular. I'm pretty sure the only way it is going to get better is if I just rest, and considering the nature of my job I am fairly sure that is impossible. So I'll hurt.

Our trip is getting smaller and smaller as far as who is actually coming. I believe we're down to 9, and it might be only 8. Thank goodness the house is already paid for. 57 days and counting, although I'd be ready to go tonight.

Last night I felt less effective in a game than I have felt in a really long time. I was supposed to be one of the main jammers, along with Flo, Sami, and Tumbleweed. However, I couldn't do SHIT in the pack. It was just a giant wall of white with absolutely no black to be seen. I scored MAYBE 6 points the entiire game. I did better blocking, though. Made some good holes for my jammers, took out some blockers... but I still was not at my peak. At one point, I was trying to take a whip off Doe and one of the Texas girls slammed directly into my shoulder. I think that hurt more than the first time I did whatever to it. I asked Flo to jam me less in the second period, especially after the mini breakdown I had between periods. I was shaking uncontrollably, freaking out, and crying. It was RIDICULOUS. And before the game, Flo was saying how strong minded I was and how I was the least likely to get mind fucked. HA. Yea right. I'm pretty much one of the most emotionally unstable people on that team.

So anyway, we lost by 1 point. ONE POINT!

I was fairly disappointed that no one was there for me. Not my dad, not my mom...It sucked a little. However, it was amazing to have Ali in the box with us. She was awesome at getting the lineups together, getting girls where they needed to be, and just being an overall motivator. She held me when I cried, too :) Awwwwwww

I'm going to bed. I worked all day today and have another all day shift tomorrow. I can't catch a break.

Well, my stitches are out, so that's a plus. The scar is hardly visible, but it's a dark spot on the underside of my chin. My shoulder still hurts, although I can move it. It grinds a little when I shampoo my clients, and after a day of work I want to die, but I'll live. I'm gonna try to do most of the drills at practice tonight and see what happens. I HAVE to play in the game on Saturday. Wanna see what my chin looked like? I can't do cuts like I can with LJ, so check my pics. I uploaded it :)

Tatum got sent home sick today. She's got a 103 degree fever, so I put her in bed with some cool PJs, some ice water, and some tylenol. She's out cold, so I hope it helps break her fever and she starts feeling better.

A combination of ideas turned into this awesome set idea, so I really really need to figure out a simple place to shoot it. And decide what to wear.

OH! And I gave in and bought myself a pole. Now to figure out where to set it up. Hooray pole dancing.

I changed my mind about my phone. I'm not going to get a Blackberry anymore, I think I'm gonna get the LG Scoop/Rumor. It comes in teal, and has a kick out keyboard plus AIM and Y! already installed. Perfect for my chat/text addiction.

72 days is way too long. Is it disney time yet?

So yesterday was an adventure. I was supposed to work 10am-4pm, which would have given me enough time to go home, check my mail, get my gear and stuff together, maybe have a snack... you know, all that good stuff before I went to 'Tramps practice. Of course, I ended up working an extra hour so I hauled ass home, changed as quickly as I could and headed back out. Picked up Tori on the way, and got to practice without being late. 'Tramps practice was great, we worked on some strategy and plays and the time went by super fast. Got to scrimmage early, watched the last 45 seconds of the Superbowl (which is all that counted anyway), and geared up.

Ahhhh scrimmage. First period was pretty uneventful. Took a shoulder to the face that split the inside of my lip and made me bleed a little, but it was all good. Second period started out awesome. I got a 10 point jam the first jam, sat out the second (and kinda third? It was one of those no jammer on the track situations where you re-group and start over again). Next jam I was playing number one to Doe's pivot. After that, I have no idea what happened. I lined up, we started the jam, I may have been blocking someone or I may have been blocked, but I hit the floor hard. Face first. I felt my shoulder pop when it hit, and felt it pop again when I sat up. I remember kinda squealing (but Ali said later that I screamed) and got on my hands and knees and realized there was blood all over the place. I spit out my mouthguard, thinking I'd broken a tooth or busted my lip open. I kinda spit a little, to see if the blood was coming out of my mouth, but there was no blood. People were rushing over and Daphne grabbed my face and was holding my chin. I couldn't move my arm too much, so while the EMTs looked at my chin, Zoe and Ali helped me get all my gear off. I remember the first thing I said being "God you guys should get the blood of the track, that shit is gross." Walter wrapped me up in crazy ass bandages, and he and Joe made a sling for my arm. The girls got my gear off, I handed over my shirts to Sunni to give to Flo, and then I called Jay.

Soooo, Ali drove me to the hospital while I cried like a girl about having stitches in my face again. We got to the ER about 10:00, sat around for about 30 minutes until I got traiged. Ron took Jay to get the car and then they both came back, meanwhile Ali and I were watching the Princess Diaries 2 in the waiting room. Once Ron saw it, he said "Oh holy shit that's awesome" and I realized it was bigger than I thought. I had refused to look at it till then, so we started taking pictures of it. The wound was talking whenever I lifted my chin :) And I scared a little girl with it, so I covered it back up. At midnight Ali and Ron had to go, cause Ali had to work this morning. Finally at about 1:30 I got called in to see a doc. They gave me a tetanus shot (bleh!!) and started putting some numbing agents in my chin (ouch again). I got some xrays done on my shoulder, and then came back for my stitches. The nurse irrigated it, and I guess was playing with it and making talking noises (I couldn't feel it, I was still numb). Then I waited. And waited. And waited. And the doc came back to do the stitches, and I wasn't numb anymore, so we had to do MORE numbing shots (stupid shots). So finally, she did the stitches, so I've got 5 lovely dark blue stitches in my chin. The xrays came back with no breaks, fractures, or dislocations, so the doc said it is a shoulder strain, which could be anything from a bad muscle pull to a torn ligament. So, I'm in a sling for at least a couple days, until the pain is better. And of course, the doctor refused to give me any pain meds. I didn't get out of the hospital until 2:30 this morning, and then had to drive myself home :(

Some things should NOT be cooked in a crock pot

One of those things is ribs. Now don't get me wrong, I love ribs. Well, I should say I love ribs when they are cooked the RIGHT way, on a grill. However, Ginger (who is my mother in law for those of you not in the know), insists on sticking them in the crock pot, covered in bbq sauce. On normal occasions I love BBQ sauce, but when it simmers all day, the smell is RANCID. Every time she makes this meal I complain, because the smell makes me so sick to my stomach that even if the end result tasted good, which it doesn't, I wouldn't eat it anyway because I'm so nauseated. Bleh. I had to hold my breath just to toast myself some frozen waffles.

I got the deposit put down on our rental house yesterday, so that is all confirmed. I also found out that my MP3 player is COMPLETELY dead. Won't take a charge, won't power up. I'm sure I just needed a new battery, but I'd rather have something worth a damn, so I bought a 30GB Zune. Loving it so far, but it is hard to remember what I had on my old MP3 player that I want to replace. So, I'm just re-installing stuff as I remember it. I wanted to load a Disney theme onto it, but I couldn't find one so I just found a pic of the castle I really liked and made it my wallpaper. I'll get to steal Blake's music when he gets here, so maybe I'll find something I like :)

Is it Tuesday yet? I'd rather it be April, but I can wait till Tuesday :)

Since our trip is looming closer, I decided to go through my pins and see what I had room for, decide how many new traders to buy, etc. I had completely forgotten how full my pin bag was, so I got myself a new one on Ebay this morning. It's not Tinkerbell :( but they don't make any large Tink bags. The small one I have is the coolest Tink pin bag they've ever had, and I can't even find it on Ebay. I'll hold on to it. And I have NO traders. So I need to buy a lot.

Bought some new perfume this weekend!! Juicy Couture, Forbidden Fruit, Curve Waves, and Calvin Klien's Summer. Mmmmm smells good. And, my ears hurt. I stretched them up to a 6 on Saturday, and I lubed them up and everything. Still hurt like a bitch and I think I probably tore the left one a little. But, I've got sixes in the bottom holes and tens in the top. I'll stop at eights in the top so I can wear my cool swirly dinosaur lookin earrings in them.

Planning for 11 sucks

Since I actually took two minutes to get on my computer today (I've mostly been mobile and lazy the past week or so) I decided to start doing some disney planning. Considering our trip is only ohhhh 96 days away it's probably a good idea. Do you know how hard it is to find vacation rental homes that have enough actual beds for 11? Jeez. Here are the ones I've sent availability and information requests to.

So, I sent her an email through another rental site so maybe she'll get back to me. edit - DAMN. She just got back to me and while it is available the weekend we want it, there is a week minimum stay because it is spring break. Fuck

I am loving my DS, even though it is pink. As soon as I get my new phone, I think I'm going to get some cool skins for both my phone and my DS. There is a really beautiful cherry blossom one, and I've got a cool cherry blossom theme going on my DS anyway.

Oh! And I got a new tattoo on Wednesday. It's the key to Davy Jones chest :) Yes, I am a HUGE nerd. Oh well.

I'm back to planning. I should probably take a shower or something too, considering I have to go to work soon. Hm.

Resolution Status

Even with yesterday being seriously the worst day EVER, I think that so far I'm doing pretty well for myself as far as resolutions go. At least on the first two resolutions

1.Stop smoking - I have not smoked since Wednesday. Made this little ticker for myself to see how well I'm doing

I'm sure Jay is going to crack, but I really need to quit. My own personal health, derby stamina, and I'm sick of my hair smelling gross.

2.Pay off credit cards - Made more than minimum payments on all of them yesterday and today. Gonna save up my tips for the week and try to put at least some money on them every week, more on paydays. If I can get the capital one card and the chase card paid off quickly, I can use them in April for Disneyland in case of an emergency. The new egg card will take a bit longer to pay off, but it's all Jay's anyway so I'm leaving that one more to him.

3.Lose the last 5-8 lbs - No action on that front yet, although the derby break ends today and I'll have double practice tonight and double practice on Tuesday. I'm also picking up on my workouts again tomorrow, now that I have the front room again during the day. Weight right this second - 128. Goal - 120. Yea I know, no one cares that the skinny girl wants to lose weight.

4. Go purple - Talked to Gwindylyn about one set idea that I was pretty sure would not fly, and she agreed. Have a couple other ideas in my head that I'm fleshing out. Have to talk to one of the local photographers and see when he wants to get together for anything. No big action on this one, either.

Hopefully I'll talk to Amy about getting some work done this week. Maybe Monday night or Saturday afternoon. Got all of our Disney trip figured out once again. We're going in 109 days (yay!). I'm waiting to hear back from the lady with the house I'd like us to stay in. There are plenty of actual beds this time!! If everyone goes, it will be me, Jay, Blake, SB, Ali, Ron, Chunk, my brother Levi, his friend, Amber squared, and hopefully Tracie will meet us there as well. Thats a big ass group. I'm excited. We're actually going to have to rent a 12 person passenger van!

I have too much laundry to do today. And double practice later, huzzah. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. As long as it's better than mine, you're doing well for yourselves :)

Why is it that the "kick the can" episode in the twilight zone movie always makes me cry like an idiot? I've never seen the actual TV episode, but I really like the closing line from it -

I haven't updated since before Christmas, but I've been super busy. So, here's a re-cap

Christmas was good. Ginger almost ruined Santa for Tatum but it all worked out in the end. I got some books, some movies, some clothes, a DS (which I bought for myself), and a lot of credit card bills :) Jason and Tatum also got DSes, so we can play together. Got to see all my family, had lots of food, it was great. And, I will be getting a new phone on Sunday from Ginger, the Blackberry Pearl! http://www.blackberrypearl.com/style/ I want it to be Sunday.

New Years was amazing. The gang had our Christmas together and it was good. I got my VICE hoodie (complete with my name, number, and jammer stars on the hood, woot!), a Frank Sinatra book, a poster of the Rat Pack, and a lawn gnome, plus a $50 gift card to my favorite bookstore (where I got four more movies, a book, and a game for my DS).

Other than gifts on new years, I also got really really happy :) I very rarely drink, and when I do it is one or two mixed drinks at the most (because I am small and a lightweight). But, NYE I figured I might as well do it right, so I did shots all night. At least 9 jello shots, plus 11+ other mixed shots. It was a very good time. Got to see Nick, finally, which was nice. All in all, good holidays all around.

My resolutions? I know they are silly, but it's just goals I'd like to have and might as well start the new year on a good foot -

1. Stop smoking. I had one yesterday, but that was it.

2. Pay off credit cards (especially since I put a lot on cards this holiday)

3. Lose those last 5-8lbs

4. GO PURPLE.

I'm gonna color and trim my hair this week, maybe work on my tattoo some more in the next couple weeks or so. And, I have a couple sets in mind to shoot (thanks to blakeythekidd)

My Christmas shopping is almost done. I've got everyone but Jason and Tatum, but I have to wait till Friday to get the two of them. Unfortunately, I work Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday. So I have no idea when I am going to finish. I still don't even know what to buy for them. Thankfully they are the only two left.

I've been working a lot, making good tips, but I get more and more exhausted every day. This week I need to put in for my days off in April so I can finally get a REAL break. I'm excited for this trip, we'll have more people than ever. My friend Blake is coming out from DC, so that will be a good time. Hopefully we'll find out soon how many people are coming in total, so we can make plans for the house and car and all that.

I've got an idea for a shoot I want to use again, just gotta find some time. Still no photographer, but I'll have Jay shoot it and see what happens. In my head it is super simple, so it might work. I'm gonna have to either do it tomorrow (which probably won't happen) or wait until after Christmas, since Jay's grandparents are coming in on Saturday. LAME!! I'll want to be working that week, I'm sure. I'm really excited for New Years Eve, though :) We've got some good stuff planned, and I hope it all works out. The gang is celebrating our Christmas together on new years eve.

The guy in jail for murder? Yea, that would be the person who was painting Jason's car. Jay's car is in the middle of a crime scene as we speak. We've spoken to this guy NUMEROUS times over the past six months, and Jay and his dad go into that shop at least twice a week to check on the car. I can tell you that about 2 months ago, one of the big vans that was near the front of the shop moved over to the back/side of the shop, and behind that van is where the body was found (in concrete, about six feet deep). I can also tell you that about the same time, the guy got a guard dog, and there was a concrete mixer in the same location.

I'm disgusted to even think that we gave this person $700 not even a week ago, as partial payment for Jay's car. I'm even more disgusted that we've gone by so many times and I didn't notice anything sooner. I'm hoping that it isn't his ex-wfe, because they have a young son together.

I am sure Jay is going to post more about this whole thing in either his LJ or Myspace. He and his dad have to go give statements and a timeline tomorrow.

Update - it is not his ex wife, the body they found was male. I am hoping it is not his best friend/roomate/co-worker Chris, who is still missing.

In case you were wondering, I finished my training, passed with a 94%, started cutting hair at the salon last Friday. I've worked 8 hours and made close to 50 bucks in tips total so far. Hooray extra Christmas money!!

Tatum's 7th birthday was this past weekend, and we had a big party with lots of her friends (a houseful of screaming 7 year olds plus a pinata is interesting. Scary, but interesting). Now I have to figure out what to get her for Christmas, since I used her ideas for her birthday. Oi.

I spent most of today adding some of my favorite animated movies and video clips to my youtube, as well as my Amazon Wishlist. Cheesy stuff like the Chipmunk Adventure, Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealers... all the stuff I loved as a kid. Heck, I still love watching it! I don't know why, I'm just sentimental.

I've been pretty lucky lately in getting the things I want, which is odd for me. I got a job, derby is going great... I'm still missing one thing dammit, and I'll get it if it kills me!

Work: I found out yesterday that my HSA training (the class that says I can actually cut hair and not be a receptionist) got moved up, so I'll be cutting hair a week sooner than I thought (providing I pass). Even doing the job I'm doing now isn't too bad. I'm having a good time watching the other girls cut hair, cleaning a lot, sweeping. Yea, thats about it. But it's good to watch and get an idea for the techniques I'll be using. Plus I'm getting money, which is awesome. Christmas is coming and I have lots of presents to buy.

Derby: While I didn't win any awards at the Wheelies this year, I came in second place for a couple that I really wanted, so that's cool. I also found out today that I made the SaddleTramps, which is our "all-star" traveling team. I'll be playing against Austin in February, and I'll be able to go to the regionals and hopefully Nationals as well later in the year. I'm excited. I'll have to figure out how to work in extra practices, but I can do it.

So what do I not have? I still have no set to submit for Deviant. Dammit. I'm still looking. There is an awesome photographer in Phoenix that I was supposed to work with on Saturday, but since I started my job I couldn't make it up there. Lame. Hopefully I can figure something out to get up there and work with him. He's got a fun idea to shoot, and I was super excited about it. I'm still looking for someone down here, too. I have a friend who wants to shoot with me at Christmas-time, but I think he just wants to see me naked. Maybe I'll get a set accepted for Christmas.

I am hungry!

Alrighty, dilemma solved. Turns out it was never really an issue in the first place, and I think I made the right decision. Yay.

Last night we went on this interesting paranormal walk through downtown and saw some cool haunted locations. Afterward, we noticed that Nightmare Before Christmas in 3d was still playing at El Con, so we high-tailed it over. We wanted to go wander around the big cemetary, but as soon as we pulled in a cop pulled in right behind us so we left. We went out to some creepy ass cemetary way out in the middle of nowhere, and me being the chickenshit I am could not even get out of the car. Maybe if I had walked around in the daylight first, I would have been ok. But I'm a wuss.

I'm going to finish my nice relaxing day off with some food, maybe a nap, and then some practice. I'll find out in a couple days whether or not I made Saddletramps or not, so wish me luck!
