My work placement was good, but the living arrangements weren't.  Never, Ever, EVAR! live with your supervisor.  BAD MOVE.  Take it from me, this is never a good idea. When the piercer was getting his gear ready, he said "So... you haven't asked me if it's going to hurt."  "Well," I said, "I already have this -- " and I showed him my industrial in my right ear.  "Oh!  You'll be fine, then!  Industrials are the worst to get."  Hehe, I love appearing hardcore (which I'm really not). His comment about industrials really surprised me as mine didn't really bother me.  It was sore afterwards, of course, but the piercing wasn't that bad at all.  He said it was mostly the long healing time that gave people problems.  I wasn't surprised how long it took mine to heal as a friend of mine who had an industrial done in each ear many moons ago told me it took almost a full year for hers to feel completely healed, so that's what I was expecting.  Mine took about 6 months to feel fully healed, then another few months for the keloids to go down. Anyway, I ramble.  Just wanted to do a little showing off. ;) Blog yes
