YEAH!... just kidding.

But anyway, I stopped being so lazy, and created a gallery for the very few phone photos I took while in San Fran... cuz I'm a lame-o!

In any event, I got some more use out of my Dawn costume. I went to a few kickin' Halloween parties last weekend with more comic book-familiar folks, so most of them knew who I was supposed to be. They had yummy cookies at the party.

too bad my extensions had to go bye-bye. they were bugging the CRAP outta me! I DID however spend WAY too much money on clip on extensions... OY... at least Mercedes understands!

ALSO, I got a new tattoo! As some of you may know, I have my grandmother Phyllis tattooed on the back of my left calf. Today, I got my great grandmother Rena tattooed on the back of my right calf to match. I know none of you ever knew my great grandmother, but this tattoo is a SPITTING IMAGE!!!! I can thank Scotty the Flyin Ace from Shotsies Tattoo in Wayne, NJ for my new ink addition. Here is a picture:

In a nutshell, San Fransisco was fucking amazing. Getting to meet all the people I chat with constantly was amazing. You guys are even cooler in person, if that's possible ^_^

The event was fantastic!!! Gwindylyn deserves like a BAJILLION kudos. So you should all give her some. I shot with Wes while I was out there, and Mercedes and I did a g/g shoot with CJW so we'll see how those turn out!

I didn't take many pictures, because all I have is my stupid cell phone camera, but maybe I'll spring for one, courtesy of the NJ unemployment office. heh. So for now I'm stealing them from you guys!

I would write tons and tons more about how elated I am, but alas, I'm just too freakin' lazy.

You should all come visit New Jersey. It doesn't smell. We're kinda awesome. And NY is 30 minutes away.

... than write a journal entry!!!

SO the last week has been pretty busy! I went to a fun barbeque, visited my friend in Brooklyn, went to my cousin's engagement party in North Carolina, and somehow made it back to new Jersey!

At the bbq, they smoked a whole pig! Of course, my friend Heather wants to keep the face bones. Here are a few pictures from the party:

I didn't take a lot of pictures in brooklyn. I go there a lot. Sue me! However, I DID clean out my car when I got home. Truth be told, I had a LOT of shit in my car, inlcuding but not excluded to:

A lava lamp, a suitcase filled with clothes, muddy rain boots, renaissance sheet music, clip on furry animal ears, a "LOADING ZONE" sign, greater than or equal to 15 pairs of shoes, clothes I had no recollection of buying, 5 starbucks hats, a guitar hero axe, tons of trash, and lord only knows what else.

16 hours and no sleep later, I'm off to North Carolina! This is a picture of me on the plane:

My cousin's engagement party was later THAT DAY, so I had no time to nap. I mingled with the fam for a while, and then snuck away to the ladies room, which also had a lounge area. I curled up on a chair and fell asleep for a bit.

Then my grandma came looking for me. haha... she was like wtfx?? why are you sleeping in the bathroom????

My cousin's engagement party was a blast; my relatives are actually far more awesome than I remember them!

So then Monday I flew home. The airport I flew out of has got to the the TINIEST airport I've ever seen! ALSO, they had freakin' rocking chairs in the terminal by my gate!! How weird!!!

Anyway, now I've just gotta finish sewing my costume, unpack my bag from NC, pack my bag for SF, have my awesome pall Bishop put extensions in my hair, get my car washed, run a picture over to my tattoo artist (I have an appointment the week after I get back from SF!), and maybe catch up with "not man" afterwards! SHEESH!!

I can't wait to see all you lovely deviants in San Fransisco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lots of rain? sure.

SO! My birthday started with a trip to Yaffa Cafe. ALWAYS delicious ^_^ Had a few beers and delicious pasta with pesto sauce. Then we got pretty much the most amazing ice cream ever. After ice cream, we went to see one of Gill's friend's bands play, but it was pretty much a sauna in there so a few of us hung out on the roof for a few hours, drinking some more beers. Then at midnight it pretty much started to POUR.

Shortly thereafter, we headed back to Queens, stopped at the best bodega ever, and had a second birthday feast! So, no hangover, but still good time with friends

SO!

Alas, the day has finally come! I'm 23! I woke up to my alarm that I forgot to turn off from yesterday =P I've been watching TV and making bracelets so far this morning, and my mommy's gonna take me out to lunch soon!

Tonight I'll be headed into NYC to hang with my loves there. My goal is to be hungover tomorrow, and as someone who never gets hangovers, I made sure my goal was ambitious! ^_^

I recently made an amazon wishlist, so all those people who have loot to spare should get me presents! hehe... I'll take a nakee pic of me and the present and send it to the giver! ;)

Anyway, I hope all of you have FABULOUS weekends!

SO!

Good news is, I was approved for unemployment, and if all goes as planned, I will be getting close to a grand every 2 weeks! I can definitely live on that for a while!

In other news, things with the not-man are as confusing as ever... I've been staying over at his house almost every night... I told him now that my sister went back to college, I've got a bed to sleep in again. "But I don't mind you sleeping here" *insert smiley face*... says he. Of course. We're both still dating around, and he's pretty much leaning on this one super anxious mess who's obsessed with him. I think his depression is forcing him to seek the feeling of being needed.

I just don't know what to do with him!!!!! He still has my picture in his freakin' wallet! Seriously, ladies, I'm about to go lesbo on you all.

Things at the Renaissance Faire are going well. I'm still being courted by a strapping young boot salesman. He took off his shirt to say goodbye. It was a lovely sight ^_^

Ofiicially 2 weeks from today, I turn 23.

I mean, of course I knew that one day it might happen, but I guess I just kinda hoped I'd stay 19 forever!

Most people say that 22 is the rude awakening birthday, or moreso that anything after 21 is downhill. I guess I'm just a year delayed ^_^

At least most places still card me! hehe.. and I honestly can't say I'm hating getting older. In fact, 21 was a pretty anticlimactic birthday! I was a grouch the whole time! This year I will make my birthday kickass! (or at least I'll try!)

I'll be working at the NY Renaissance Faire again this weekend, so come visit! <3

So... I'm a new woman now!

I finally left the job that was draining me and making me tired & miserable all the time! Hopefully I'll be happier and more rested now, with more time and effort to put back into reapplying to colleges. I've got a year and a half under my belt, and I just can't wait to get into it again!

Also, I'm helping my friend's mom out at the Tuxedo, NY Renaissance Fair this weekend (and probably throughout the rest of the season), so if you're in the area, come visit Bead Jeweled!!

In any event, I just feel like a weight has been lifted from my chest. Granted, I have no job right now and I haven't actually applied to schools yet, but knowing I've pretty much "escaped" from retail before holiday season just makes me sleep better. I applied for unemployment today, so if all goes as planned I'll hopefully get around $850 every 2 weeks, which I'd be totally cool living on for at least a little while.

Maybe I'll get into modeling a little more? Who knows!

SO I felt I just needed to pass on a little story from Saturday night:

I went into NYC to hang with a bunch of my friends. We were at the Sidewalk Cafe, waiting to hear one of Gillian's friend's band play. (Ivan and the Terribles)

So, Gillian is telling us all how amazing this band is. The following was our conversation:

Gillian: Hey guys! Prepare to be nihilism.
Me: *slaps forehead* I think you mean annihilated. (followed by a series of laughter)

a few moments later...

Caitlin: So what does nihilism mean, anyway?
Gillian: I think that's when you're really full of yourself.
Me: Gillian! That's narcissism! *shakes head*

I swear my friends are smart in real life when they're sober.

SO then we went to the Parthenon replica back in Nashville

It was lots of fun!

Long story short, I'm back home in NJ...

I had such an awesome time, I can't wait to go back!!

SO! somehow I managed to get my shifts covered for the weekend and head out to Indiana to visit a friend!! I drove down to the Philly airport and flew out to Louisville, Kentucky, where we ate lunch and got tattooed ^_^ Hooray for Adam Potts at Acme Ink!

I'll be here until Tuesday, which makes me sooooo happy. Being able to kick back and relax will be WONDERFUL!!! I'll post tattoo pictures tomorrow!!

For serious!!

I felt like I was legitimately narcoleptic today! I went to bed at 4 am, woke up around noon (a full 8 hours, yaknow!) and dicked around for a little while. Ate some lunch, tried to watch tv, and fell asleep. Woke up an hour later, tried to watch some more tv, intermittently dicked around on the computer some more, and THEN FELL ASLEEP AGAIN!! SO finally I woke up for good at 7 pm.

Go figure.

So now it's shower time then rejoin the world!

And it finally felt like summer

So now that it's approaching the end of July, it's finally starting to feel like summer to me! Go figure...

So the last couple weeks have definitely been interesting... kinda going back and forth between my mom's and my dad's... getting out of the habbit of living with the man...

We still hang out a bit, but we're both dating other people. I just wish he'd grow the balls to be honest with me about what's going on... damnit it's so frustrating!

Also, I just want to say that I love all you deviant nation people! Seeing beautiful ladies and lovely comments and reading all your journals definitely makes me happy and helps to distract me from my job that's exhausting me, my ex who's confusing me, and the weather that's making me sweaty =P

SO, I've been more and more stressed regarding my job, and I've been entertaining the idea of demoting myself or quitting... Now, granted I don't wanna be broke!! I just wanna go back to school, study music, and maybe become a teacher or something... or HEAVEN FORBID I actually perform, or compose, like I've always dreamed.

I just wish I were one of those rich kids who didn't have to worry about money... yaknow, whose parents would just put up the money and pay for school, while giving the kid allowance money while in school. That would be the bomb.

The situation at work is just an endless source of anxiety and it's really just not good for me! I used to actually enjoy this, and now it has become something I dread. Help?

The 25th hour

UGH I've been up so long waiting for a friend to arrive that now I can't fall asleep!!!!!!!!

I was seriously ready to go to bed by 11 =P and now it's 3!

So anyway, I have a bridal shower to go to tomorrow. Not only is this a girl I know through my now ex-boyfriend, I probably wouldn't have even been invited to the wedding had we not mentioned that maybe we should get separate invites. OY tomorrow is going to be fun, let me tell you guys...

ANYWAY! In brighter new, last week I got to shoot with New York Matt and it was awesome! Miss Emily Claire rocked some kickass makeup, which I hope for you all to see soon!

Well, my dog is snoring, so I guess I'll try to get some sleep, myself.
