Work has been coming along. I got a new DM as of yesterday. I haven't met him yet but I hear he's cool. The garden is doing quite well. I was able to pick a couple of tomatoes and one of the celery plant is almost ready to be picked. The eggplant is coming along nicely too, however, it seems I've lost the apple tree and the orange tree still hasn't produced any fruit yet. As for the lemon tree, I need to find someone to help me with this one. Too many lemons and not enough uses for them. I use them for my tea but I can only drink so much of it in a day. I seem to have lemons coming out of my ears there so many on that tree. So, who's got a vegan lemon pie or other recipes I can use? I've gotten semi-hooked on WoW, however, that what finally helped me figure out what was wrong with my mac. I could get the Burning Crusade patch to work and the program asked me to activate the first aid program to fix the error. Funny how a new game can can solve a real life problem. Work has not been kind but changes are on the way. CSK Auto has been bought out by O'Rielly Auto and the big meeting is this Thursday. Hopefully a lot of the BS that we've had to deal with will be wiped out. What kind of BS? This kind; our current radio ad has this line in it: "Repeat after me, if I can lift the toilet seat, she can put it down." Our female employee were pissed at this and I don't blame them. The last thing I need as a store manager is to have someone walk in my store thinking the women I have working with me only know how to lower a damn toilet seat and can't help them find the parts they need for their car/truck/van. No woman should be degraded like that. There are other issues but I won't bore you with them. In other news: I've planted an apple and orange tree, six celery plants, and some onion and garlic plants at the house. Hopefully I'll be getting some fruit in a year or two off the trees. The celery should be all grown up in about six months. I plan on getting more fruit and veggie plants as time goes on. I've also re-discovered some old bands from the 90's that I loved when I was living in Germany; Opus III, U96, Scooter, and Member of Mayday. Kirsty Hawkshaw, the former lead singer from Opus III, has a new song out with DJ Tiesto called Just be. There are two mixes, the original and the 514 mix. If you love Trance check out the song on YouTube. There's no video for the 514 mix yet but it's an awesome dance song. I've also learned that the Banker's Guild is using a fractional banking system. It's the same type of system used in the 1920's that caused the Great Depression only it was with the stock market. It seems like it just became 2007 a few weeks ago. I spent a good chunk of today in the hospital with my cousin. he slipped in his bedroom and split his head open right on his left eyebrow. Keep in mind that's his good eye. Not a good way to end 2007 and giving an ominous sign to how 2008 may transpire. Hopefully it will be a good year but with the most important presidental election in modern times looming, things could get ugly this year. It's past due time for him to reap the whirlwind he's created with his lawsuits, contracts and high school drama. Being this is the 4th quarter of the year, it's also the hardest time of the year. Payroll is over for the year and guess who gets to clean up the mess, little ol' me. The one good thing about it is the fact I now get to dig in the backsides of corporate when my peoples paychecks get screwed up. There's nothing worse than opening your paystub only to find out you got shorted and you were counting on that money to get your bills paid. Now I have the pull needed to get it fixed without having to go through someone else first. On the previous journal's subject no one has come forward to claim responsibility for re-activating my account on the "other" site. So that begs the question, What should I do over there now that I have a free account? No, I won't do anything malicous. I've still got friends over there and I don't want them being retaliated against because of something I did. And yes, I'm still looking for a way to get "him" separated from the site and the ownership turned over to someone who's business practices are more open minded. Hopefully everything will work itself out and the pain "he" has caused will finally be lifted. Too many people I care about have had their lives damaged or destroyed because of "his" actions and business practices. Most of them have recovered, but two of them, (no, I still haven't met them in the real world yet), are still fighting "him" for their freedom to do what they love to do. No one should have to go through that. Karma goes both ways or full circle depending on who you ask. Evenually "he" will received what "he" has put out. I can only hope it happens before "he" drags more people I care about into the abyss with "him". We've lost two managers in two weeks & now we're struggling to keep the store staffed with management personal. I got transfered to the store closest to my home & had to help the new store manager get things ready for inventory.
