i have to give a presentation in my psychology of dress tomorrow. being the procrastinator i am on top of the world falling in on me lately, i waited until twelve hours before it was due to begin. i'm now finished but have come up with all kinds of ideas that would make the project so much more. why in the hell do i do this? i've got everything together and i'll probably get a fairly good grade on it but i wish i'd thought of these awesome ideas ahead of time.

pilates last night. super sore today. went to the y with a friend & did a couple of miles on the treadmill then we laid in the sauna. when i was in the shower after the sauna i started blacking out and had to go lie down on the locker room floor. gross. i didn't pass out but it was really close. so i guess i overdid it.

going out with the girls tomorrow night. i seriously can't wait. i'm super excited. going out with three girlfriends to a little bar for drinks & then one of the girls & i will be going to see some bands play. i work all day tomorrow and after all that it'll be nice.

i've been rather down lately. this made me laugh harder than i've laughed in a long time:

i just woke up. when i tried to sit up out of bed i got about an inch off the pillow before falling back down. my neck has acted up again. every once in a while this happens. the whole right side of my neck and my right shoulder are fucking killing me. i can barely use my right arm without wanting to die. fuck. i have clients today.

so getting old sucks. i'm realizing that twelve years of ballet can fuck a persons world completely up. every time i get up there is immense pain in my knee and i can't straighten it for several minutes. no good! went to my dr today and he did some wet cupping. fun! i wish i had the capability of putting my phone photos on the puter. boo. i took photos with the cups on my knee all full of blood. gross. and cool at the same time. so here is a photo of my giant knee hickey:

i took a webcam photo of my phone screen. you can get the basic idea. think sitting up while taking a photo downward of your leg. that's what you're looking at. i am SO not high tech.

kitty went outside to do whatever it is he does out there. when he came in i decided to cut the little mat of fur off of his undercarriage. when i picked him up.....PEW! why on earth did i want a long haired kitty? well, because he's so fucking cute, of course. however, long kitty hair is just a poo-catcher. yuk. there's an upside to my boy.

we went upstairs and i started the water in the tub. he cried a little bit but i picked him up and we got into the tub. (detatchable shower head ftw.) he just stood there and let me shampoo him and rinse him off. he even rested his little head on my knee while i scrubbed him. i swaddled him in a towel and dried him off a bit. took him downstairs and turned up the thermostat so he won't chill too much. gave him some treats and the purr started right up. i think he actually feels really good. he's being all afectionate and purring and playing even though he's sopping wet. happy clean kitty!

i need to get the hell outta here. winter break. who lives someplace WARM that's willing to put me up for a few days in exchange for free massages? not just backrubs. i'm a trained professional! i mean it. message me. let's do this.

today was my grandpa's 84th birthday. i loves him so much. when i told him "happy birthday" he replied "you're welcome!"

i went to my friend's little used book shop a few blocks from my house. i bought a herbie mann record that i'd never seen before. i also bought a copy of "shilo" by the amazing neil diamond. i'm listening to that now. bet you weren't aware that he wrote 'red red wine'. he's a fucking god. i also bought a copy of 'the ethical slut'. that should be a good read. to be perfectly honest, i just want someone to sleep next to at the moment. someone who smells yummy.

i'm really wanting to read 'the great gatsby'. need to go find a cheap copy of that.

there's going to be a late night shopping/holiday extravaganza in my neighborhood. i need to get someone to design me a flyer for my massage business so i can pass them out. i'm going to see if my friend with the book shop will let me sell gift certificates from her place. i guess there's going to be food, bands, and horse drawn carriages rides through the neighborhood. fun.

i talked my family into drawing names for xmas. huge weight off my back. and most everyone elses too.

i woke up this morning and immediately noticed it was daylight out. which could only mean one thing.....late for school. for whatever reason, my alarm didn't go off. i'm guessing some sort of human error. awesome.

as i'm rushing out the door i notice i'd forgotten to take in my mail yesterday. i take a quick glance and see something addressed to me with a very interesting abbreviation before it...

yep. that's right. i've been sued. by my former landlord for non-payment of rent for the month of october. which is funny because he knew that i moved out in september. my old roommate decided to stay. so i call her first and she's completely outraged because she did, in fact, pay the rent and the check cleared before the first even! this guy is smoking crack, me thinks. so now we have to go to court on tuesday morning with her cancelled check and proof she already paid said rent. fine. whatever. but this also means i'm going to miss school. i'm calling a lawyer client of mine to see if i have any recourse for lost wages or what i pay for that day of school or something. awesomer.

someone at school tripped over the backdrop i was sewing, lodging a straight pin into my thumb.

i think i'll be having cocktails this evening. sigh.
