this year i'm actually planning some trips in advance- which is new for me kinda haha.

this weekend- Huntington, WV
in a few weeks- Philly
April- Louisville
May- North Carolina
August- fetishcon in Tampa, FL (see Baunfires journal)
September- Montreal.

I'm excited :) I got hired locally to do a number of promotions for Sailor Jerry spiced run starting in May, so that will keep me busy near home.

now, the damned snow just needs to melt and go away. I'm ready for spring and summer.

These were all shot on a private beach in the Malibu area and this is what I got to look at while shooting:

AND after we finished shooting and were packed up and headed back to the car, we passed Pierce Brosnan haha. I said hello (he and his friend and dog, were the only other people on the beach when they passed us) and he looked over and said hi back haha, so I kind of met Pierce Brosnan.

new tattoo progress

So I got tattooed last week and got some coloring finished and retouched on the bottom half of my arm, and then had the center section of my arm outlined and shaded just a little bit- to finally connect my upper and lower half sleeves....it wasn't too pleasant haha, but I'm super happy with it.

I have all this negative space on my upper half sleeve that she worked in there so it will all go together and look nice when its done :) I'm hoping to get this finished within 10 years of starting it haha. anyway if you're ever looking to get rad tattoos by a hot girl, check out Megan Massacre in Philly. I promise you won't regret it, she always does right by me.

I decided to use my camera more so I can learn how to use it better, and just so at the very least I'm picking it up everyday and doing something. I'm going to take a photo everyday. I also want to not take AS many photos of my dogs haha, but they have made it in so far as they are my main subjects other then myself. Also, I've already missed 1 day, which is fine, b/c i just started. Additionally, this is more of a photo diary kind of, so the pictures won't always (or often necessarily haha) be great.

Jan 1st after being woken up at the crack of dawn to take these bastards out:

Jan 2nd- missed. day 2=fail.

Jan 3rd- I took many photos of myself, but still just liked this one best:

Jan 4th- I was really upset and frustrated and had to spend entirely too long on the phone sorting shit out and Ripley kept jumping up and trying to make me feel better:

Jan 5th- Me just out of the shower...then me w/ Ripley, b/c he is always jumping up in my shit, and Scooby so he doesn't feel left out

Mike817's journal made me kind of want to write my own little end of the year thing. Its been an interesting year for me, but I guess a lot of the years I've lived have been interesting in one way or another haha. Also, everytime someone says "2010" I can't help but hear Bad Religions "10 in 2010" in my head. I'll always have a special place in my heart for them.

Actually you know what could be fun? a little 2009 year in review :) I just have to see what I can remember/what I have documented in photos.

I DO know how the year started for me. I brought in the new year very quietly with lots of drunk texts/drunk boob photos from friends. Then shortly after I heard about a few DNers getting together in Kentucky. I was broke but really just needed to be around my DN family (and I always need a road trip), so I spoke with Cooter and decided to drive the 6.5 hours out to his place, and then we'd go to Louisville together and meet up with StValentine, Ruby, Chixor, Wes, Baunfire, Baunfires brother, Sinclair, Jay, Mr Jay...and I think thats it? I'm gonna feel like an ass if I forgot someone. Cooter and I stayed in a super fancy hotel, cause we're fancy like that. We indulged in hot browns and really just had an amazing time. OH thats right and I got my forearm tattooed right before the trip, so I was all gooey.

When I arrived in Huntington, WV Cooter had me meet him and RuthAnn at this amazing west virginia strip joint. He'd purchased a lap dance to prepare for my arrival, yet when I came in and got seated, the girl he'd paid for a dance with had a parka on and was leaving haha. After the strip club we picked up some donuts from this awesome pirate themed donut shop

then we went back to Cooter and RuthAnns places and had donuts and PBR. We stayed up late talking and taking silly photos. I'm really into this one:

Yes- thats the shocker AND the giving tree. Seems appropriate somehow. Anyway, the next morning we got up, packed up everything in Cooters house into my car (b/c we had about a million ideas for photos with each item, so we of course had to bring them all) and headed to Louisville.

Once over the Kentucky line Cooter introduced me to the most amazing Ale8:

it was only maybe 3/3.5 hours to louisville, but we talked, laughed, sang at the top of our lungs and just generally rocked out. We checked into the brown and then went to go meet up with some people. StValentine took us to Angels Rock Bar (which I pretty much hate the one here in baltimore, but he hooked us up) and Ruby and I headed straight for the bar. We got drunk and silly and the next few hours involved pole dancing, bull riding, lots of photos (and i believe videos?), and I stole some dudes glasses at some point b/c he wouldn't give me his awesome batman hoodie that had ears.

This feels like its getting kind of long already haha, so I'm gonna make a 2009 photo album to put all the evidence in :)

Anyway, the night went by all too fast and after we left the bar Sinclair introduced me to white castle and bought me my first ever white castle burger. Shes very sweet and couldn't believe I'd never had one before. While I enjoyed my burger I asked Chixor about a thousand personal questions (drunk me is very talkative haha) and she politely answered them. We continued to the hotel to hang out with ruby, baunfire, valentine, jay and mr jay some more while the others headed home. We got to bed late and woke up early to shoot some stuff. I was feeling a bit under the weather and we didn't shoot as much as I'd wanted. I made Cooter very nervous by telling him we had more time to shoot and that it would really only take a few min to pack my stuff up haha. Heres a photo from that morning:

After checking out of the Brown, we stopped by casa de Chixor to see her, wes, and Sinclair before beginning our journey back east. I didn't want to leave. But we did anyway, and had a great time in the car on the way back. Cooter took me to eat at this great hot dog place w/ RuthAnn. Then I had to head the 6.5 hours back home.

Soooo that was more like, louisville road trip in review, vs 2009 in review haha. Looks like there will be multiple parts to this. I'll try to move a little faster:

Later that month was the Baltimore tattoo convention and I got to hang out with Ruby (again :)) missystarr, meaganfilth, darladarkling, and meet draven. I also made some webcam love signs w/ my stolen glasses from louisville haha. in Feb I took a trip to So Cal and met up with Gwindylyn and her brother Sven. I did a shoot while I was out there, on a private beach in malibu and breifly met pierce brosnan haha. Also in February I went to NYC to shoot with Marcos and got to hang out with Ruby, AND the love of my life turned 1

In March I headed back out to So Cal to attend HIN in LA. My date was sick, so Sven graciously filled in :) In April I got my Canon digital rebel and started taking some photos. Over the summer I did some stuff around town- went to a lot of shows, visited the aquarium, went to my first monster truck rally, attended more import car shows, etc. In June I roadtripped to Atlanta to get more work done on my arm, and then drove from Atlanta to south FL to be part of the SamGuss bathtub series. On the way back up to MD I surprised Baunfire :)

In the fall I started hiking again and visited Ricketts Glen State Park in PA. It was absolutely beautiful and was just a breathe of fresh air. I also moved into a new apartment in the Baltimore area. In November I traveled back to SF for the Deviant Nation event. I got to spend time with old friends and make some new ones :) I also added a Boston Terrier to my family just before my 27th B-day. in December I baked a lot, it snowed a lot, and it got real cold haha.

All in all, a good year. I don't like to dwell on the bad things, just feel them, deal with it and move on. I'm maybe too much an optimist for my own good at times haha. I was able to spend some time with old friends and make a lot of new ones. I have more plans for 2010 that always include doing things that make me happy and living my life to the fullest. Hope everyone has a good start to the new year, however you choose to celebrate it. AND enjoy the blue moon :)

Happy Holidays everyone :) I took a small break from the internets and just lurked a little when I had the time. Everyone on the holiday card list should have received/will be receiving their card very shortly (they've all been sent out several days ago), so keep an eye out....There were 3 versions of this years holiday card, all shot by JBaxter - he's always down for my weird and last minute ideas haha, and just goes with it and makes it awesome.

Which also means only 11 more days until the most awesome vegas trip EVER. epic is an understatement. thinking about it makes me want to pee with excitement. there will be plenty of documentation of said trip as well

So I'm FINALLY in Inked...its just in an ad. Its a photo that I shot over a year ago (maybe 2?) that we submitted and was just picked up recently. I've met with them before and they've been pretty flaky with me, so I was skeptical when I was told that this photo would be in there, but low and behold, it is!

Bane did my hair and make up, and I super appreciate how awesome she is. DestroyInc was really great to work with (and absurdly fast haha) and we also shot a set for here :) I'm glad I got to work with him while I was out there, and can't wait to shoot more in the future.

This weekend I'm shooting for this years holiday card. If you got a halloween card, then you'll get an xmas card haha. If you've moved since then, or if you didn't get a halloween card (which means I don't have your address) and you want a holiday card- give me your mailing address. Its always weird coming back to reality after hanging out with a bunch of hot people. But I'm safely back home in Baltimore after spending several days in SF. I ended up staying with Marcos, RPG, Meisha, CJW, Sadie, and Kasara. Also shot some new stuff with Samguss, Alysin, CJW and DestroyInc. AND saw Alcatraz :) which I really wanted to do last year, but never got around to.

The flight and rental car I got out there helped me achieve a free round trip flight :) so I'm using that to go to Vegas to harass Marcos, NewYorkMatt, EmilyClaire and CJW.

And because I need more going on in my life, I'm going to check out this puppy on Saturday:

I just can't resist that face haha. My current little man needs a playmate, so I'm just going to meet up with this guy and see what he's like.

my dining room window

So yesterday I was playing with my dog and looked out the window of my dining room and saw this guy trying to put something on a VERY out on the open tree. so obviously i ran and got a camera.

I can only assume that he bought this to go hunting and just wanted to figure out how to use it first. Unfortunately I had to leave shortly after he starting sitting on it, so I have no idea how long he was there hahaha

Soooo as we all know the official countdown has begun to SF. I made my costume this year and its my version of this:

"like a virgin"...sylvia style haha, its gonna be awesome.

For those of you who can't make it, I'm gonna see if I can't recruit someone to shoot a set of me in this get up.

I'm bummed that some people aren't gonna be able to make it, some who came last year and I've missed ever since I left, and some who didn't go but I'd still like to meet. Last year I didn't want to come back to reality. Just wanted to stay in SF and be surrounded by beautiful women (both inside and out) all the time....plus we don't have in 'n out burger on the east coast.

Anyway, I've been super busy lately. I'm still living out of boxes and trying to unpack, but I LOVE my new apartment. Its a total step up from my last one. Its in a much better neighborhood. I've moved 12 times in the last 6 years and this is the most comfortable I've felt somewhere. Even though it was stressful, I think this comfort feeling is due in part to the fact that I actually planned this move out, and saved up and all that good shit. In previous moves, its been just "oh shit I need to go somewhere else NOW". 6 years ago I thought I had my life in order and was where I wanted to be and had everything I wanted- and it scared the shit out of me, so I changed everything and I've been half-assedly chasing stability since then. It sucks to think it took me 6 years to get that back, but now? I just have to not freak out and fuck everything up again and allow myself to be happy, not sure which was/will be harder.

I got a lot of really good feedback on my halloween cards :) so i'm really glad everyone liked them <3 I'm in the planning stages for the next edition of holiday cards, so be on the lookout for that in early december.

OH and my b-day is on the 23rd, so I plan on celebrating while in SF. This doesn't mean people who are out there are required to buy me a drink or anything, you're just required to hang out and have fun and give me bday hugs. I'm a simple girl haha
