It is weird that the house is in disarray at the moment while we get new furniture. For the time being we will have two couches in the living room space. Talk about cramped. However, the old one is worth some cash so the intention is to sell it. The Mrs. wanted it in the basement but there is no room down there between her stuff and the other housedweller who lives in the upstairs unit. Now, I too have stuff down there but maybe 1/10 the total amount. And that will get smaller once my stuff comes upstairs. Yeah, I know. Crazy. At least, I am rocking out to GnR at the moment. I had learned of one in Philly happening today a while back but now that I have a position with a company I opted to do it....and here is the tale.... Woke up this morning and traveled up to the Bell Tower in Center City today to race up 50 floors of stairs. Angela was kind enough to drive up and be my awesome support system this morning. So we get there and the lobby of the place is busy. I go do a short run outside in the cold and come back in to get ready. Last night, I got moved up to start about 10th. This morning I ended up starting maybe 8th or there abouts. We enter the stairwell to go up from outside and are staggered from 10 to 15 seconds. I would say more like 15. It was funny as Compuscore was the service timing the event and that means I saw Dave as he was controlling the stagger. Well, as he is sending people off, we are doing a quick catch up on things. Then I go off....BAM!!!!!! I take off. I get through 10 floors and hadn't caught anybody yet so I was worried I was too slow. However, I did start my timer at the 3rd floor to go off every 90 seconds as my goal to do it in 7:30. At the first click, I had gone another 15 floors! Obviously I got a bit winded but still was making great time. I started to catch people and catch them in bunches. In fact, when it was all said and done, I caught all but one guy. And that guy was the first one to be sent up! I didn't know how close it would be but he thought I won but I had a good feeling with a bit of uncertainty. However, to cut the suspense, I did win! 6:28 to 7:02. He also won it last year in 6:43 which was the 1st year. Mind you this was only my 2nd stair climb after Empire State last year. I impressed myself today. And Angela did a great job documenting the event. Afterwards, we went to the Penrose as IHOP had a huge wait and then drove back to CC for her dentist appointment. Basically, I dropped her off and I parked the car. Now I am home getting ready for AND ONE tonight! Blog yes

Part of the reason it was free so if I didn't like it I could go to the other show. However, despite the place being really small and packed due to the set-up it was great. I heard over 2 1/2 hours of Cash tunes when I left. The man was still going! Also got hit on by a 44 year old. I know it may sound silly but it made me feel good. Did well at the two originally planned interviews. One has offered me a job but the pay is surprisingly a lot lower than I expected. And I mean low. Yet, I may take it in the meantime. The second, I will pass due to the severely limited hours and the difference in vision. (Both were art related positions. The one I am passing is a gallery & class space while the other is one of america's oldest theaters.) However, I did have a phone interview today about a position with a wealth management firm and have an in-person interview tomorrow with them. As for the job fairs, both very disappointing.
